Musical Highlights - About the Bands..
‘Viva Manila’
The crowd pleasing Viva Manila will perform at the Dublin Horse Show, Friday 17th of August and Saturday 18th to brighten the spirits of all visitors to the Show! Fronted by Egay (singer & double bass) accompanied by Cholo (backing vocals and guitarist) and Mike (vocals and guitarist). A huge hit with a wide range of audiences this year they hope to bring out a bigt crowd to enjoy their easy listening and highly entertaining sound!
‘Manila Strings’
Manila Strings have been performing across Ireland for more than six years. Fronted by Des (lead singer and percussion), Edward (guitar and backing) and Rod (Double Bass and backing) their highly contagious style has captivated audiences for over six years in Ireland. With their rhythmic sound of hits everyone loves and a unique percussion gives this band a big act dimension to their performances while providing the more intimate sound of a traditional serenade.
‘4 in a Bar’
A male-voice harmony group singing traditional, classical, pop and barbershop music. - IABS National Champion Quartet of Ireland for three years, are based in Dublin and have performed all over Ireland and abroad.
‘Rainbow’
A lively four piece band playing many classic favourites at the Band Lawn each day of the Show. Sit back and listen to all your favourites as the band gets the crowd into a party atmosphere!
‘The Garda Band’
Always a welcome addition to the festivities at the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show. The Garda Band performs at many national events and other major venues and we were delighted to have them perform their big band sound here to add to the ceremonial atmosphere on Nations Cup Day. F
Aris Arun
Aris Arun is a hugely entertaining band featuring the best of Irish Music and Song. Fronted by Doreen Kearns, an experienced performer having worked in venues all over the world, from Dublin to Moscow. Aidan Duffy is one of Ireland’s most dynamic fiddle players, playing stirring jigs and reels guaranteed to have the crowd on its feet. Martin Denning is an accomplished guitarist and songwriter, performing regularly in Dublin’s top venues. Graham Nolan completes the foursome, he is a veteran of the traditional and roots scene, playing a diverse range of instruments ranging from banjo to bass.
Celtic Rhythm
Established in 1996, Celtic Rhythm, a group of professional Irish Dancers haved proved to be the most successful dance troupe in its field, with performances from weddings to Broadway shows.
